    Manchester City secures Haaland with unprecedented nine-year contract

    Manchester City has announced that striker Erling Haaland has signed a new contract extending his stay at the club until the summer of 2034. The 24-year-old Norwegian, who joined City from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, has scored 111 goals in 126 appearances for the club. Haaland’s previous contract was set to expire in 2027. The new nine-and-a-half-year deal is among the longest in Premier League history, surpassing the nine-year contract signed by Cole Palmer with Chelsea last August.

Manager Pep Guardiola expressed his satisfaction with Haaland’s contract extension, highlighting the striker’s professionalism and motivation. Guardiola described the agreement as a significant show of faith and commitment from both the player and the club. Haaland himself conveyed his happiness with the new contract, stating, “I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great club.”
